Healing Through the Heart
When Christ was taking leave of His apostles and Mother Mary, His parting words were to love one another as I have loved you.
John 13:34
The heart has been an ever present theme woven into each of the paths I have chosen in this life. I began my nursing profession working as a cardiac nurse supporting patients in healing their heart and in the past several years my heart has called me to become a faith based healer, healing through the heart.
There are so many words that come to mind when thinking about the heart:
heartfelt, heart warming, heart broken, heart wrenching, heartache, kind hearted, open hearted, heartless, big hearted, heart breaker, heart throb and sweetheart just to name a few.
Our heart, from an energetic perspective, emits the largest magnetic field of all our body organs….that alone is fascinating for a science nerd such as myself! LOVE, as an emotion, holds a vibrational frequency of 500Hz, JOY 540Hz and PEACE 600Hz. But did you know that Christ and His church resides in our heart? It is through the heart that Christ is able to connect to our soul and provide guidance on our life’s path. Now that just makes my heart happy!
Our heart and soul long to be close to Christ but there are many things that can prevent His divine love from entering. When resentment, anger, fear and hatred are present love cannot exist. These emotions prevent unity with Christ.
So how do we rid ourselves of these negative thoughts and emotions?
The answer is forgiveness.
True forgiveness allows our hearts to open a pathway to love. Freeing the heart allows for forgiveness to transform into love.
Forgiveness also frees us from the bonds that attach us to the pain and oftentimes the person who has hurt us. When we hold resentment, anger, fear and hatred in our hearts towards another we have a never-ending attachment to them and to the pain. Imagine the feeling of carrying that heavy burden around with you in your heart every day of every year. No wonder love cannot enter into our heart space and our soul is at dis-ease within our body.
Forgiveness can be a challenging journey for sure but I can tell you from personal experience it is so worth it! Jesus showed us many times what it means to forgive. As a teacher He modeled for us what looking through the eyes of love and compassion can do for the process of forgiving another. His heart understood the imperfections of our human nature. He forgave us and asked us to sin no more and loved us through it all. We cannot truly unite with Christ without forgiveness. Love and compassion are the most powerful tools we possess in forgiving those who have hurt us. Resentment, anger, fear and hatred are rendered powerless in the presence of love.
Sometimes forgiveness is easy and other times it can be a process of a changing of the mind and heart. Be gentle with your heart through the process because on the other side of forgiveness is love and that is worth everything!
Love and compassion can bend all rules and the heart filled with love is where healing and new beginnings are born. This is where the church resides, within our heart and connected to Christ.
This is God’s plan for us and every day I am filled with love and gratitude to bring Christ’s healing love to support others in their life’s journey. You can schedule a healing session with me here and see the healing results of Christ.
